Due to the regulations regarding COVID-19, ETHNOFEST 2020 fully transmitted from the physical to electronic space. On December 19 the summit's opening ceremony, participated by this year’s selected artisans, international donors, and partners, was broadcasted live via ETHNOFEST Facebook page.
The experience from the previous summits confirmed the potential of ETHNOFEST in developing not only the creative and cultural industry of crafts in general but also economic sustainability, the local market, and product marketing.
ETHNOFEST 2020 has given craftsmen, designers and manufacturers, a unique chance to present their handicrafts to a wider audience.
The summit, adapted to the new format, aims to strengthen the economic potential of the crafts field by integrating new technologies. ETHNOFEST 2020 combines two important elements in the virtual space: the exhibition/expo and the educational component. On account of its online presence, expo, trainings, and workshops are accessible to a broader group of people.
